Brought into use in the year 1975, the Small Stage is the oldest performance space and the former main stage of the City Theatre. It is a black box with a balcony on one side, which gives the directors an opportunity to use different levels. Elmo Nüganen’s production of Pianola or The Mechanical Piano (set design by Vladimir Anshon) is famous by including also the adjoining rooms to the performance. The Small Stage seats 88 spectators. Entrance: 23 Lai Street. |
